Kittichai

I went to this place quite a while back with my two brothers. The restaurant is located in the trendy Thompson Hotel in Soho New York and looks very glamorous and chic. We were waiting for our table in a nice waiting area in the front where you can have really delicious cocktails. The staff looks very stylish and so do the dishes… The atmosphere is great for a romantic dinner but also works well for a (business) lunch.
Before I went here I read that some people find the staff pretentious and service bad but we didn’t have this bad experience at all.  If you dig Thai food and love a beautiful presentation I would definitely check it out ! 60 Thompson Street, New York City | +12122192000 | $$$$ | Underground; Spring Street or Prince Street | Website

A Lovely Day

A really cute and inexpensive restaurant in Soho, serving excellent Thai food. This funky little place combines floral wallpaper and, American diner like, red leather booths. Perfect to end a busy day of running around in NYC. Nothing fancy or anything, just very laid back serving delicious food. I loved their Pad Thai, Chinese broccoli and Tom Kah Kai best. A lovely place… 196 Elizabeth St (between Prince and Spring St) | New York | (212) 925-3310 | Underground: Bowery | $$

Walmer Castle

One of my favourite bar/thai restaurants in Notting Hill. Real English pub where it is great football match watching with upstairs a great Thai restaurant (order the panang with prawns or Phad Thai). IN the summer everyone stands outside on the pavement and it has a great atmosphere overall. 58 Ledbury Road | Tube: Notting Hill Gate | +442072294620 | ££Website

The Churchill Arms

If you’ve done some shopping at High Street Kensington and feel like a beer in a traditional pub, go to this one on Kensington Church Street. The pub looks more like a flower shop seen from outside so you can’t really miss it. Really charming place. It’s where Churchill himself used to come a lot and you are reminded by all of the Churchill memorabilia on the walls. The Thai restaurant in the back looks absolutely fantastic, but the food is average. 19 Kensington Church Street | +442077274242 | Tube: Notting Hill Gate | £ | Website | Map
