Noho

Bond St

This restaurant is often refered to as the best Sushi Restaurant in New York…I wouldn’t be suprised if they’re in the top 5 … I still dream of a dish I had here: The Tuna Pizza (recommended by the waiter). The restaurant has a  minimalist, slightly formal chic decor but this also depends on where you sit (at the bar/counter or in the restaurant). We had a little trouble finding the place and came in through the bar entrance in the basement. You should take the stairs up instead… 6 Bond St, New York, +1 (718) 213-4813, $$$$ -Underground: Bleecker Street-Lexington

Bowery Hotel Bar

I just stayed in this hotel for a couple of days and can easily say that this was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. The art deco inspired lobby bar feels really homey with ‘old’ colourful furniture, grand armchairs, carpets, sofa’s, a fireplace and large wooden tables. It’s also very spacious and has a good crowd.

The Double Crown

This is a super stylish, super romantic restaurant in Noho. It is very open and spacious and there is a nice bar area where you can wait to be seated (or just have a drink). The whole place has a pleasant atmosphere. The toilets are beautifully and tasteful designed and spacious like a ballroom.
The menu combines Asian with British traditions and how interesting this may sound; I had a delicious dinner…
Last but not least: The service is friendly and attentive. 316 Bowery (Bleecker St), New York, +12122540350; Underground: Bleecker Street-Lexington – $$$

Il Buco

I had dinner here on a Tuesday night and fell in love as soon as I stepped inside the place. The whole atmosphere is cozy, warm and homey. Copper pans are hanging from the ceiling and the whole ‘wooden’ decor just makes you want to stay for hours. The Italian food is delicious. They promote their homemade olive oils in the menu which you can buy as well. I also found the staff attentive and invisible in a good way. Loved the place! 47 Bond St # 1, New York, +12125331932; Underground: Bleecker Street-Lexington – $$$

Indochine

I was told by a friend that it was a Golden Oldie favorite from Steve Rubell in the 80′s. French-Vietnamese menu. Delicious. Ambiance is very elegant with a tropical decor. It’s a good place to go either for a romantic dinner or with a group.
