Balaboosta | NYC

I was recommended this place by a friend and had a really nice easy dinner here on a Saturday evening with two friends. We were lucky to be able to get a reservation for seats at the bar last minute because we called quite late… Anyway, this Middle Eastern inspired restaurant is located in one of my favourite area’s in NYC and the place is not too big which created a cozy atmosphere. The owner is from Israel which explains the middle eastern angle of the restaurant (a nice little fact; Balaboosta means perfect housewife in Yiddish!) I had the crispy cauliflower as a sharing dish to start and did not particular like it, my main however was very good (black grouper). Just very nice.  214 Mulberry St (between Spring St & Prince St), NY | +12129667366 | $$ | Underground;  Spring St |Website | Map
