Bodega Negra Restaurant

Ok so apart from the fact that we were sitting next to Prince Harry, I really enjoyed this restaurant. It all starts with the entrance, a peep show/porn shop facade on Old Compton Street. Then, when you head downstairs, you enter the restaurant which feels like a cosy candlelit sort of cave. It’s divided in 3 different areas. Tim Burton inspired wall art on one side, bar in the middle and a dining room with randomn upside down piano on the other. The busy bar area serves amazing tequila based cocktails. Food is Mexican and we opted to share loads of different small plates. My absolute favourite was the Scallop Ceviche! A few things on the menu are the same as the Bodega Negra Cafe, but the restaurant is definitely the more expensive option. Lastly, I really loved every single song the dj played. It’s rather loud though, so probably not a such a good place to bring your parents. It’s also a great place for a late night dinner and drinks. We were not kicked out until 2am! If you want to check it out yourself, make sure to reserve a table. They are booked up for weeks ahead. 9 Old Compton Street | Tube: Leicester Square | 0207 758 4100 | Website | £££
