Go to this restaurant if you are a foodie and fan of fine dining. I do advise you to have your drinks beforehand somewhere else because I didn’t particularly like the bar area (little bit stiff). The light and airy dining room has a contemporary look and is very buzzing. We found the service at the table slightly over polished but the dessert counter in the end made me not care about this at all.
I loved my starter and main but absolutely ADORED their deserts. I loved their idea of a dessert counter where you can sit on high stools and watch the pastry makers prepare little delicious pieces of art while you can also peek into their glass-fronted main kitchen where Jason Atherton (amongst 20 others) calmly prepare culinary wonders. We all got sorbet and a little pre-dessert while we were waiting for our desert (how cool) and then had the ‘PBJ’ (peanut butter and jelly) and panna cotta… Heavenly. If you feel like just eating a dessert somewhere, please go here…
Jason Atherton came to chat with us in the end which was a nice way to finish of the evening! 8-10 Pollen Street, London |Tube; Oxford Circus |+442072907600 | ££££ | Website
